This is my new try for the first time .I had home made paneer so wanted to make some thing different , healthy , tasty and easy to digest . Tried this and turned out so tasty that kids loved too. One thing I should say palak taste is not dominating and i can feel cream and methi combined taste along with paneer carrots and aloo makes this dish flavoursome and mouth watering
Ingredients I used
Palak - 2bunches
Methi leaves - 1 bunch
Carrots - 3 medium
Potatoes - 2 medium
Paneer - 250gms
Onion - 1large
Tomatoes - 3
Coriander leaves
Green chilli - 4 to 6
Jeera - 1tbs
Kasoori methi - 1.2 tbs
Dhaniya jeera powder - 1tbs
Garam Masala - 1 to 1.5 tbs
Ginger garlic paste - 1tbs
Oil - 3tbs
Turmeric
Firstly rince greens to remove dirt , now take a glass of water in a wide bowl and let boil now add palak to boiling water and when u notice that palak is reduced remove and let palak cool and transfer in to a blender aling with green chilli and coriander leaves now make in to a fine paste and keep a side. Remove leaves from stems of methi rince chop and keep this also a side
Take a heavy bottomed pan keep flame on medium low and let oil gets heated
Now add jeera
When jeera turns color add chopped onion
Let onion turns brown
After onion turning brown add ginger garlic paste
Cover and cook till veggies are half cooked stirring between
Veggies are half cooked
Now add chopped tomatoes
Mix well cover and cook till tomatoes become mushy
Tomatoes became soft and mushy
At this time add chopped methi leaves
Cook till methi is completely cooked
Now add Dhaniya jeera powder, turmeric, kasoorimethi mix well and cover and cook for 1 or 2mins
A water to make gravy to this add salt ( be careful we added salt bfore)
Now goes in chopped palak
Mix everything well and add cream to gravy
Cover and cook for 2 mins
Done , serve with chapathi
Note : u can add green peas also
Instead of garam Masala u can add kitchen king Masala also for added
Taste
If u feel like curry is burning reduce flame to Simmer
