Ingredients I used
Wheat flour - 2cups
Bombay rava - 2tbs
Jaggery - 350gms
Oil for deep frying
In a mixing bowl add wheat flour, Bombay rava and oil . Mix every thing with hand.
Now add water and make in to thick dough
Dough is ready
Grease floor with oil
Take a portion of dough and roll out in to a chapati
Using knife cut rolled chapati in to diamond shape
Now place diamonds on a plate
Keep flame on medium and let oil heat , when oil is heated drop diamond cuts in to heated oil.
Turn both sides while frying
Diamond cuts are fried
Now transfer in to clean bowl . Like wise make fried cuts with rest of the dough also
Now to make jaggery syrup to coat with diamond cuts take jaggery in to a bowl and add water keeping flame on medium
Bubbles are coming at this point with spoon drop few drops of syrup in to a cold water
Look if syrup poured in water turned in to a soft ball now your syrup is ready to add fried diamond cuts
Now diamond cuts goes in into a hot jaggery syrup
Mix from down to up nicely so that hot syrup is coated to diamond cuts
quickly transfer in to a greased plate . Let them cool for a while and serve . This is a very good evening snack and your kids school snack
