Carrot rice



Carrot rice is my family favourite rice item , I make it on and off. As today is our 70th Republic day remembered our flag colors and wanted to make this color ful nutrition rich , tasty recipie

Ingredients I used
Cooked rice - 3 cup
Green peas - 1/2 cup
Carrots (big) - 3
Green chilli - 4
Onion - 2
Chopped coriander leaves - fist full
Ginger garlic paste - 1tbs
FRIED cashew
Whole biryani Masala
Salt
Turmeric powder
Red chilli powder
Oil and ghee for tampering

Method

Firstly I cooked rice along with 1 tbs of salt , green peas and whole garam Masala tied in a cotton cloth
Take a thickbottomed pan , keep flame on medium low and add ghee and oil to it when pan gets heated add chopped onions and slit green chilli to heated oil.

Let onions turn brown

After onions turn brown it's time to add grated carrots and salt. 

Mix everything nicely and cover with lid and cook till carrots are cooked and reduce its size ,stirring in between 

Grated carrots are nicely cooked 

Now add cooked rice , salt , turmeric and red chilli powder and mix everything well 

Now add chopped Coriander and mix everything nicely

Cover and cook in simmer till nice aroma and steam is released
Cooked top up with fried cashew and serve hot with raita
